Why have you rolled back the old version of the master app?

Kerrianne Southway February 15, 2011

A couple of reasons: The original version of the Lonely Planet Travel Guides app wasn't iOS4.0 compatible – now it is! Also, our last update to the travel guides app basically just took you to the iTunes store, where you could purchase ordinary stand-alone apps – now users can once again purchase the original titles and keep them within the Travel Guides app.

I notice that there hasn't been an update since 2010 when you have been promising the ability to download standalone apps into the master app or visa versa. Any update on when this will happen? If there is no ETA, then please simply say so

Hi, we do not yet have the ability to move standalone apps into our master app. While we have been investigating this for some time, it has proven to be far more difficult than we would like due to some of Apple's policies and technical limitations. It is still planned as a future enhancement, but we don't have an ETA. The good news is you can now purchase all of our most current city and country guides from within the master app.
